Sing Praises Unto His Name

free flower

Do we really love Him?  His Word says praise His name; for it is pleasant.  It is pleasant to praise God.  Praises bring the presence of God in our midst and we can discern knowledge, yokes can be broken and the anointing comes down.  There is a saying, ‘the praises go up, blessings come down’.  When we praise God we ought to feel His love.  His love is power.  Sharper than any two-edged sword, great, everlasting.  God is love, God is the Word, and love is power.  Love can divide things or bring things together.  God can bring enemies together; He is love.

When we really love God, we praise Him and we walk with Him daily by acknowedging Him and His Son Jesus.  We speak Jesus.  Hebrews 4:12, says, “For the Word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”  God’s Word is alive.  He discerns our thoughts, and He knows those that truly love Him.  His Word can reach the heart of humans, but we must love Him.

The Holy Spirit can touch your heart.  The Word of God can bring your enemies closer to you when you show them love.  The Bible says as a man thinks, so is he, Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he;”.  What are you thinking about your life, your ministry, your family, your finances, your future?  What we think, so are we, but God must be first.  When we have enemies God will work on them.  When we are doing good by others and they do not return the favor or the character, give them to God.  Move away from their snares, and hand it to God.  Pray that the Holy Spirit touches their heart, because God’s Word is power!

God knows what we need.  Keep praising Him.  He knows.  He will deliver us and redeem us.  God will restore.  Praise God, not for the things, but for who He is; God Almighty!  He shall bring it to pass.  Amen!

Morning Song….

Ladies, do you have a song in the morning?  You know a song that you sing in the shower, or maybe as you’re on your way out the door every morning, on your way to work or to run errands.  Maybe you whistle or sing along with your radio as you are driving; or, if you are a commuter or bus rider, perhaps, there is a radio station on.  You hear that song in your mind, most of the day long.  Wouldn’t  that be great if the last song that you hear is a song to glorify God?  You hear it over and over all day in your mind, while you are at work, at your appointment or at home.  You hum along and you are glorifying the Lord.  Hallelujah!

I remember living out in the country where I grew up and early in the mornings we would first hear the neighbor’s roosters crowing.  I would just listen up closely for the whistling of birds upon the house roof, where they would land.  I did not care much about the roosters.  The birds chirped and I would just lay in bed until noon.  It was a song to me, and so peaceful, that I would just lay in bed; no television, no radio on; just the sounds of birds.  My mom would peak in on me and ask, “Do you want biscuits?”  My mom’s biscuits were great, but after having them nearly every morning with syrup, I grew rather disgusted with the norm.  Getting bored with the sounds of birds whistling was never anything that I got accustomed to.  I would invite them into my heart as if the songs that they sang were to me.

Many of us have gone through trials of life and we have music that we listen to that makes us feel better.  The book of Psalm is filled with Scriptures of the poetry of King David, in which the songs were recorded in the temple hymn books in biblical times.  We too need to have a song, and keep a song in our hearts, for the Lord.  The Bible says that we must sing a new song unto the Lord.

So like the birds we can sing, whistle or even tweet a song.  Psalm 40:3 says, “And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.”  When we praise God daily, and glorify Him; when we keep that song in our hearts, the Word of God says that many shall see it.  Praises Be To The Name Of God.

Bright Eyes!

bright baby free

Mothers, I’m sure that we can all recall when our growing children were only tiny tot toddlers.  Early in the mornings we’d pull the covers off of their faces and we see two little bright eyes, poking at us.  They are so alert and cute that we just want to dunk them back underneath the covers like a donut dipped in chocolate, just to see that sunshine pop out again.

Oh, those beautiful memories are so awe pumping.  You are literally pumped with motivation when you can’t stop staring at those cuties that God has blessed us to care for.  Our very own little families.

They run around the house, in diaper pull-ups hanging low; and you grab them to change their clothing, clean them, feed them with such joy, or at times holding your breath.  Those little bundles of joy, ought to make us thank God every day for the impressions that we leave on them as mommy, and on us as babies making our day much fuller.

Just the same, when we look in the mirror, when others see us, when we greet people, we should be bright eye, just as our mothers use to see us, the way we joyfully see our children.

Ladies we can be joyful every day, for our gifts from God.  There is so much going on around us, but we must keep the courage, hope and faith, and act in that way in thankfulness to Him.  We should never forget that God is Supreme over our lives.

So like these little ones without a care in the world, that allow mommies and daddies to shelter them, to care for them; we ought to cast down negative imaginations that take hold of our daily lives.  We should just allow our Father to take care of us, to shelter us, to protect us and provide for us.  Besides, He is Jehovah Jireh and He will provide.  We only have to continue to have faith and trust in Him.  So put on that BIG smile, and be bright eye.  Let that twinkle shine, and have the joy and the blessings that God has given, in appreciation.

Praises To God.

Morning Delight!

coffee free

God wakes us up!  Plain and simple, and to the point.  It’s not by our own might or power, but by His power alone.  It is in the power of His hand, and the grace that He allows us.  God loves us and has created us for His purpose.  Colossians 1:16 says, “For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him; 17. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist”.  He is our morning glory, He’s glorious, He is our morning delight.

Take a moment, if you will to reflect.  Put down your cup of coffee, your car keys, your portfolio, i-phone, and labtop.  Reflect on God’s grace.  It’s more easy than you might believe.  The Bible says, “peace by still”.  Be still for a moment and worship God.  Thank Him for this day, which is a new day.  Another day in our lives brings on new challenges, greatness, relations, and a new appreciation.

Once you have set everything down for a moment, and you are not taking any phone calls; you can now give God all your attention.  Psalm 119:47 says, “And I delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.”  We can’t forget to delight in His ways, in His Word.  It is in Him that we live, breathe, and have our being.  Praise God.

How do I delight myself in the Lord?  The delight comes from the heart.  Having a heart for God takes patience and love within ourselves.  We have to walk in the fruits of the Spirit.  The fruits are precious.  They are love and patience, kindness and longsuffering.  We can follow His commandments happily when we delight in Him, and we love to follow His ways.  Delight yourself in Him today!

Rise Early/Annette Jaco’s Blog

th (3)

The sun is still hidden, the cars can be heard from the roads nearby; and your lampstand keeps the same routine.  A bible within reach, cute alarm clock, and an antique lamp that was handed down to you from your great grandmother.  Slowly you slip out of bed, and zombie walk to the nearest restroom, brush your teeth and stare in the mirror for about 30 seconds before deciding whether to go back in bed.

It’s only 4:45 a.m., and you can catch another wink.  You make your way toward the side table and grab your bible, go to the bookmark spot, and read your motivation Scripture, Pslam 129;147, “I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your Word.”

Everything seems to be o.k., you think for a moment; is all in tact?  Your kids are still safely tucked in bed, you have no emergency, unexpected bill collectors calling you at all hours of the day, and your walk with the Lord seems to be on the right track.  You are applying the right Scriptures to your life and you’re happy.  The joy of the Lord is your strength.  So why do I need to get up so early, you keep going back to that, mentally.

I will cry for help, when my car breaks down, or when the kids get out of hand; or, when no one has called me in a month, but, now?  Do I need help now?   Of course we do!

Life is soooo unpredictable.  One day all is well, the next it seems as if a tornado was aiming for your house only.  So you realize that in preparation for your journey, you have to cry out for help!  Lord help me to keep my way in You, and keep me safe.  Lord keep my family surrounded by your goodness in all their goings, even if we seem to disagree often.  Lord lead us together in Your Word as we consider fellow laboring and fellowship.

Seeking Him first is a requirement, a commandment, a Scripture.  The Word of God says that when God is first in our lives, all things will be added to our life!,  (Matthew 6:33).  The Lord wants us to acknowledge that our hope is in Him.  Our hope is in the Word of God; not in humans, or in family, or in anyone else.  Our hope is in the Supreme Creator,  not in human hands or how they can benefit us.   When the hand of God is over our life, we have hope.  Thanks Be To God.
